John William Evans

John W. Evans was born in Michigan on January 29, 1935. He has a younger brother named James Evans.

He is survived by: His wife of over 30 years Lori, His daughters Linda and Krista (husband Doug) , His sons John (wife Hayley) and Rob (wife Terre), his grandchildren: Karston, Jack, John Wayne (Duke) Shane, Stuart, Timmy, Matthew and Crystal.

Dr. John W. Evans was a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam war. He is a member of F.A.C.S - Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. John W. Evans graduated from Wayne State in Michigan, He completed his residency at USC and then enjoyed a successful private practice of Otolaryngology in Huntington Beach for over 50 years.

Dad loved life and traveled the world. He loved baseball, the opera, snow skiing and animals. Very patriotic man, he loved America- he would belt out the singing of our National Anthem, even when no one else was singing.

He was the first person to graduate with a college degree and then went on to get his Doctorate in Medicine. His parents both migrated from Glasgow, Scotland - Margaret Muir and John Evans.

Dad loved sitting on his harbor front deck with his two dogs on his lap thinking how lucky he was with his life. Dad loved to read - any pamphlet or plaque was read in its entirety.

Dad lived his life inspired by John Wayne and James Bond.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:00pm at Westminster Memorial Park located 14801 Beach Blvd., Westminster, CA
