Barry Frank Temple Jr.

Barry F. Temple II, 32, passed away Saturday December 23, 2017. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St. Ankeny, IA 50023), followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m.

Barry was born April 20, 1985, in the Navy Regional Medical Center on the island of Guam to Barry and Prapee Temple. He attended school in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from Central High School in 2004. He later attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny and then spent two years at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA. Barry managed a Domino’s Pizza Franchise in Cheyenne and worked at several golf courses here in the Des Moines area.

Barry loved music but his primary interest was golf. He was an extremely talented golfer with three state junior titles to his credit plus an array of other junior titles all over the states. When he was not playing tournaments, he enjoyed the weekend gaggle at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base golf course. He viewed this event as easy money for a kid playing against “old guys”. Barry loved animals and especially his dog, Dexter. Dexter visibly misses him, the walks and playtime they had together.

Barry is survived by his parents, Barry F. and Prapee Temple; sister, Jennifer (Jesse) Reinhardt; nephew, Jace Temple Reinhardt; niece, Nora Jean Reinhardt and grandmother Ladda Sawadee of Bangkok, Thailand.
