Cynthia “Nee Nee” Douglas, 57, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20 at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. 1st St., Ankeny. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Lutheran Church of The Good Shepherd, 3820 SW 9th St., in Des Moines, with cremation to follow.
Cynthia was born October 1, 1954 to Max and Helen Minks in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a dedicated employee at Firestone for 31 years, and Jacobson Warehouse for 8 years. Nee Nee was a devoting grandmother to Hannah, Maxwell, and Maddy. She will be missed by her loving family and many close friends.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher Douglas of Ankeny and Kevin Douglas of Kansas City, MO; three grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Mary) Minks and Paul (Linda) Minks; and five nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
