Dee Ann Hultman

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 9, 2017, at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First Street with burial to follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at Ankeny Funeral Home.

Dee was born June 24, 1943, to John and Esther Morgan. She attended Mormon Trail High School in Garden Grove, Iowa and graduated in 1961. She met and married the love of her life, Richard Hultman, in 1973 and made their home in Ankeny, Iowa. Dee dedicated her life to her husband, four children, siblings, extended family, and friends.

Dee loved her job in the construction industry. She appreciated her many lifelong friendships acquired while working at Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines and Contractors Group, Inc. of Ankeny. Those who worked with her knew her invaluable business and people skills.

Dee’s leisure hours were spent learning and using various computer software programs and spending time with her dog named Bunny, a constant and loving companion, who brought her much joy.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Esther C. Morgan; brother, Don Morgan; sister, Dona Morris; and son-in-law, Donald Dittmar. She is survived by her husband, H. Richard Hultman; children, Carol Dittmar, Kevin (Cindy) Hultman, John (Kristy) Hultman, and Rob Hultman; sister, Diana (Osa) Foltz; sister-in-law, Joyce Morgan; brother-in-law, Bob Morris; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
