Gregory Keith Moon

Greg graduated from Bondurant-Farrar High School in 1980. After graduation, he earned his college degree in CAD Design, which led him to jobs within the Des Moines area, Breckenridge, CO, and Omaha, NE.

Greg’s passions in life were his family, downhill skiing, photography, Iowa Hawkeye athletics, and racing, of any kind, in particular NASCAR and sprint cars. Greg loved himself some potatoes, whether they be French fried, baked, fired, or mashed. Greg had a tremendous sense of humor, and used it often to light up a room in any situation. Greg’s personality made it easy for him to make new friends.

Greg is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hulgan, his father Keith Moon, step-father Francis “Clance” Hulgan, sisters Mary Elizabeth Moon and Linda Andersen.

Greg is survived by his sister Sheri Lightkep (Bill) of Columbia, SC, brothers Paul and Doug of Ankeny, nephews Josh (Megan) and Preston (Anna) of Ankeny, his great nephews Landen, Wesley, and August, and great niece Treynor.

The family is requesting no memorials, flowers or donations.
