JoAnne Marie Moon

A private family burial will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Colo, Iowa.

JoAnne was born on November 7, 1934, to John and Helen (Mitchell) Roche at Colo, Iowa. She graduated from Colo High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Paul Moon on October 23, 1953. They had 3 children: Debra, Dennis, and Diane. They celebrated 65 years of marriage together. JoAnne worked at the State Bank in Colo for several years and from home for Donnelly’s in Nevada until she retired. JoAnne also helped farm with her husband throughout the years. JoAnne loved to go on vacation with her family, and later in life traveled with her husband on trips and cruises and visited all 50 states.

She is survived by her 2 daughters: Deb (Tom) Bishop, and Diane (Jon) Moon and 3 grandchildren, Austin (Taylor) Moon, Adam Moon and Andrew (Kaytlin) Moon and 1 great granddaughter, Layla Moon and 1 great grandson, Brecken Moon.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John & Helen Roche; her husband, Paul, and her son Dennis Moon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the family and will be given to a charity of their choosing at a later date.
