Lisa was a strong, bold, and fearless woman who impacted everyone around her. Her family meant everything to her, and she found great joy in spending time with them playing board games, traveling, and hosting family dinners. Lisa adored her children, Claire & Max, and her greatest pride was raising them. She was her children’s biggest fan, and you would always find her in the stands cheering them on at every single one of their events. Not only did she love her children, but loved her son and daughter-in-law, Connor and Acy, as if they were her own. She recently became a grandmother to Charlotte, an adventure that she was so excited to embark on, though she felt strongly that she didn’t look like a grandma. It is safe to say, “When she became a grandmother her heart grew three times larger”.
She had 40 wonderful years with her husband, Tony, who she cherished deeply. They both graduated from Wayne State College and Lisa served in the Army and Air National Guard for 12 years. She remained an active member of American Legion post 325. Lisa would go on to specialize in IT recruiting, working for Modis & Genesis10 for more than 25 years. Later in life, Lisa switched career fields, finding a passion for caring for older adults. She adored the people she cared for and quickly became part of their families too.
Lisa and Tony both found great joy in home restoration projects and “flipping” several homes in recent years. Lisa was known for her bargain shopping skills and had a knack for finding deals, which she used on a lot of their restoration projects. They spent their lives serving others and devoting their time to their children.
Not only did she love her family, but Lisa also loved her many friends as if they were truly family as well. She looked forward to Women’s nights at Briarwood Golf Club, garage parties, and any excuse to get together with her ladies, her “sisters”. She was an active part in her community participating in 100 women who care, after prom committee, and frequently volunteering to be the Sports Team Mom for Claire and Max. She was a gracious host, always keeping her doors open to others. Lisa truly never met a stranger and always found a way to connect with those around her. Lisa will be forever loved by her family and friends and her impact on her loved ones will last forever.
Lisa is survived by husband, Anthony “Tony” Dahm; two children, Clarissa “Claire” (Connor Saddoris) Dahm-Saddoris and Maxwell (Acy) Dahm; one granddaughter, Charlotte Dahm; her mother, Carol Baker; four brothers, Rob (Marie) Baker, Troy Baker, Greg Baker and Jason (Sarah) Baker; and her mother-in-law, Angela Dahm, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers and sisters-in-law and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Bob Baker, paternal grandparents, Bud and Florence (Orr) Baker, her father-in-law, John Dahm, and special friends, Laura Hilton and Rick Johnson.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials will be directed to the family and will be contributed to Amadora Legacy Project in loving memory of Lisa.
