Annie Bell Fulbright

Annie B. Fulbright was called home June 27th 2017 at the tender young age of 77. Annie was the last surviving of her 5 siblings. Annie was born in Bessemer, Alabama on March 14th 1940 and was raised in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. May 3rd 1967 Annie married her soulmate Fred Fulbright in Ann Arbor, Michigan, they were married for 49 amazing years. In 1985, Annie worked at the University of Michigan Mott children’s hospital as a unit clerk for 32 wonderful years. Retiring in 2007, both Annie and her second family known as Pediatrics ICU missed each other so much Annie returned back to the PICU in 2011 as a unit greeter. Annie’s position as a greeter was specially created for her by the University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital. They wanted her back just as bad as she wanted to be back. Annie remained with the PICU until her illness began to progress more rapidly in October of 2016. During Annie’s life journey she earned the respect of many different individuals from all walks of life. She will be remembered for her many selfless acts of kindness and compassion. Annie’s family and friends will never forget her wonderful smile that lit up the entire room when she entered. Annie leaves to cherish her loving memory her 7 children and 13 grandchildren; Pete Jamison of Tampa, FL, Fred (Valerie) Fulbright of Tampa, FL, Gregory Harris of Johnson City, TN, Marcus Harris of Frisco, TX, Freda (Edward) Gillespie of Tampa FL, Susan Fulbright of Ann Arbor, MI., grandchildren, Catrice and Azizi Thomas, Kumari, Fredrick and Camille Fulbright, Britney and Josh Harris, Britney Harmon, Stacey Freeman, Alexandrea Fulbright, Mckenzie and Gabrielle Gillespie, special nephew, Michael Pee, very special friends, Wylie Wright and Sue Burton, Ellis and Lisa Block, Pearlie Wilson, Rev. Davis, Eva Patterson and many more. Annie is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Fulbright, both her parents Susie Mae and Virgil Thomas. Her 5 siblings, Laura Pee, Arthur Thomas, Virgil Thomas, David Thomas, and Henry Thomas, and one son, Daniel Thomas. And special friend Ima Jean Ethington.
