Armand P.W. Hewett quietly passed away on May 20, 2014 in Brighton, MI. He was the second child of the late Alton P.W. Hewett and Edna Oman Hewett. Armand was born in Howell, MI in 1918 and spent most of his adult life in Ann Arbor, MI. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 67 years, five children, James (Judy), Alan (Ruth Robbins), William (Heather), Corinne, and Terry, eight grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, two nieces, and a nephew. Armand served his country during WWII and in the Army Reserves, retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1970. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in engineering before joining the Army. He was a general contractor of residential housing in Ann Arbor before joining his father’s real estate business in the late 1950s. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor. Fishing was his avocation. Interment will be at Washtenong Memorial Park on Friday, May 30, at 2pm.
