She was born March 8, 1947 in Petoskey, Michigan, the daughter of Calvin “Cal” Jesse and Pauline
(Cocklin) Kiffer. She graduated from Petoskey High School and attended Ferris State College and
Michigan State University.
On August 28, 1971, she married Glenn P. Hiller. She was a long-time resident of Ann Arbor where
she volunteered with the Ann Arbor Schools and other organizations. She was a dedicated wife and
mother; a lover of family, animals, and travel; a voracious reader; and a force to be reckoned with.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Cortney (Jon) Ophoff of Dexter and Curtis
(Julie) Hiller of Chelsea; her grandson, Calvin Ophoff; her sister, Judy Lynn (Michael) Sear of San
Juan Island, WA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her
brother, Calvin J. “Smokey” Kiffer.
