Born February 20, 1972 in Albuquerque, New Mexico he was the son of John Grahn and Nancy Louise (Kochem) Watson. Chris earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Michigan. He was an intelligent man with a very big, generous heart. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America with his son, Aiden. He enjoyed martial arts and had earned a black belt in Ninjutsu. Chris was a big fan of U of M Hockey. He also liked reading science fiction and fantasy novels. But most of all he loved spending time with his son and family.
Chris is survived by his wife, Sarah (Baumgardner) Watson; their son Aiden Watson; his sister Courtney Jacobson and her husband Craig of Colorado; his father John Watson and his wife Jill of Florida; his mother Nancy Paul and her husband Larry of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kaylee Watson.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00pm at Muehlig Funeral Chapel. Following the service there will be a continued time of greeting the family until 4:00pm with refreshments.
