Constance (Connie) Sherman, a cherished member of the Ann Arbor community, passed away peacefully at the University of Michigan Hospital on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Born in Toledo, Ohio, Connie was a proud graduate of Scott High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she also enjoyed a long and fulfilling career.
Connie was a devoted Michigan Wolverines fan, a passion that made her a fixture during football games, always ready with spirited commentary. She was known for her love of music, having a beautiful voice and a talent for playing the piano. Her leisure time was spent indulging in picture puzzles, crossword puzzles, and mastering the game of Bridge, which she played in numerous tournaments.
Connie’s life was enriched by her late husband, Ray Sherman, and her beloved cats, who were her constant companions. Her warmth, kindness, laughter, and zest for life will be profoundly missed.
She is survived by a niece and many cousins. Connie will be interred at Bethlehem Cemetery, 2801 Jackson Road, Ann Arbor. A memorial service will be held at the cemetery on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
