Georgiann North

Georgiann North died on Friday December 26th, 2025 at age 78. She was born on February 8th, 1947 in Chillicothe, Ohio. She grew up in Ann Arbor. She graduated from Ann Arbor High school 1965 and Oakland University in 1969.

Georgiann worked as an elementary school teacher.

She had a passion for horses as well and trained and competed in dressage competitions.

Georgiann will be remembered for her gentleness and love of animals.

Georgiann is survived by her life time partner Michael Sachs, her brother Clare North, (his wife Eileen), her sister Marcia North, (her husband John), two nieces Ashley North and Channa North and her beloved horse Kitt Kat.

We would like to thank all who supported and cared for Georgiann during her decline: Carol Gustafson, her long time friend who was with her helping every step of way. We also thank the private care givers: Pam, Carrie, Amanda, Nicole, Holy and more. We thank all her friends and helpers that came and supported her through her end stage dementia.

We thank Ebony and each and every staff member on the memory care at Attia Assisted Living unit.

We thank Ethelyn RN and the entire Brighton Hospice staff that helped.
