

James Burns Falahee, Sr., passed away March 25, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Hackett Falahee, and their eight children: Chip (Diana), Kathy (Tim) Clifton, Mark (Karen), Mary (Phill) Hylton, Meg (Ken Galuardi) Falahee, Beth (Dave) Logan, Sue (Mike Batty) Falahee, and Tom (Sarah); by 19 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Jean, and a brother, Jack.
He served in the U.S. Air Corps and graduated from the University of Michigan Law School. After graduation, he worked for Consumers Power Company in Jackson, MI for 36 years, retiring as Vice-Chairman of the Board. Throughout his life, he served on numerous boards and committees and was an active member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal church. In 2007, he and Virginia moved to Glacier Hills in Ann Arbor, MI, to be closer to family.
A Memorial mass will be held on 4/20/18 at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Ann Arbor, MI with visitation preceding the service at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the St. Louis Center, 16195 W Old US Hwy 12, Chelsea, MI 48118.
