Jean Margaret Carey passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. She passed only 4 months after her beloved husband left her. She and her husband, Don, were married 70 years and did everything together so it was no surprise that she would join him soon after his death. She had a long and beautiful life and was greatly loved and will be missed. Cremation has taken place and there was a graveside service putting both her and her husband to rest and now “together forever”. Jean was born and raised in Channing, Michigan; after marrying Don they raised their children there and then moved to Green Bay, WI for 12 years, they then moved to Ann Arbor in 1993 to be closer to their children and grandchildren where Jean lived the rest of her life. Jean was a wonderful housewife and mother to her husband and children. She enjoyed taking care of her loved ones and spending time with them. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and golfing with Don and later just being by his side watching. She loved to cook and bake (fresh bread being most memorable) and enjoyed a cold beer with her pizza and never turned down a glass of wine at happy hour. She was a devoted Catholic and enjoyed being with people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, son Jeff Carey, daughter Candace Johnson, sisters Billie, Marie, Joyce, Beverly, and Peggy, brothers Don and Ted, mother and father Gunhild and Chester Cambray . Jean is survived by her daughter Sandra (Jeff) Knight, son-in-law Rick (Debra) Johnson, brother Jack (Gerry) Cambray, Grandchildren, Jesse, Jeremy, Amanda, Carey, Adam, Don and Stephanie. Great grandchildren, Josey, Chloe, Oliver and Sebastian.
