Kulka, Justine Olson (84) of Ann Arbor, MI passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Justine was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leo and her daughter Justine Clarkin. She is survived by five sons - Terry (Patricia), Bob (Susan), Ed (Sally), Harvey (Julie), and John (Christine); eight grandchildren – Michael (Kristina)Kulka, Matthew (Jessica) Kulka, Emily (Rob) Hann, Mark (Tammy) Kulka, Phoebe Kulka, Kelly (Kyle) Kidder, Emmet Kulka, and Helen Kulka; 6 great-grandchildren – Natalie Kulka, Isaac Hann, Anthony Kulka, Caleb Hann, Brandon Kulka, and Nolan Kidder; her sister-in-law Jean Posselius; and cousin Margaret Eitel.
Born, June 17, 1926 in Detroit, Justine was a graduate of Dominican High School and the University of Michigan. Justine contributed to the management of the successful kitchen specialty store Pointe Peddler. After raising their family in Grosse Pointe, Justine and Leo retired to Ann Arbor. There, Justine was involved in the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Women’s Farm and Garden Association. Justine served for 40 years as the President of the Olson Kulka Foundation which supports charities in Southeastern Michigan A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 28th at St. Mary’s Student Parish (331 Thompson Street) at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Arbor Hospice (2366 Oak Valley Drive Arbor, MI 48103) Arrangements under the direction of Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI.
