Born in 1949 in Chicago and raised in Washington, PA, Marc Ruben was a man of many dimensions. At various times a cab driver in Cambridge, Mass.; graduate of Antioch College; a dedicated sports fan who cried the night the Red Sox finally won the World Series; an award winning Project Manager for Unisys; reading to his sons every night; Interim Director of the Washtenaw JCC; a lover of old war films, John Wayne, classic cars and planes; a pioneer who launched a computer repair company in the early ‘80s; the list goes on. Though he wore many hats throughout his life, the one he never took off was that of a caring father and friend. Always at the ready with a helping hand and a wise crack or two, he was a kind and gentle soul whose memory will live on in those who knew him. He is survived by his sons Sam and Jacob, mother Ruth, brother Geoff, and sisters Jan and Amy. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Sunday, September 12 at the Jewish Community Center in Ann Arbor.
