Passed away at his home on January 10, 2012. He was 61. Peter was born on January 22, 1950 to Elizabeth N. Graham and Robert C. Graham in Berea, Ohio. He grew up in Ann Arbor and earned undergraduate degrees in Economics and Political Science and master's degrees in Asian Studies and Business from the University of Michigan. Peter focused his professional career on strategy, marketing and business development, leading key projects for several multi-national organizations. Throughout his adult life, Peter loved the University of Michigan and was proud of his relationship with the school as both a student and a contributing professional. Although he raised his family in Boston, Peter returned to Ann Arbor in his later years and worked for the College of Engineering and its Center for Entrepreneurship. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Peter had strong interests in art, music, literature and nature. He was a well-educated, thoughtful, sensitive man. His perspective, wisdom and advice will be deeply missed. Peter was a devoted son, father and grandparent. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth N. Graham of Ann Arbor; his brother Christopher Graham of Ann Arbor; his son Trevor C. Graham of Sleepy Hollow, New York; and his daughter Dana Vaughn of San Diego. Peter had three grandchildren: Mirabella, daughter of Trevor and his wife, Elizabeth R. Graham and Connor and Ryan, sons of Dana and her husband, Dylan Vaughn. Friends may make donations in Peter's memory to Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, site of the Sam Graham Trees, a collection of major trees native to Michigan. The Sam Graham Trees are named in honor of Peter's beloved grandfather, an ecologist and entomologist considered by many to be a pioneer of North American insect ecology.
