After graduating from High School, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After 4 years of Military Service, Ron pursued Higher Education at Eastern Michigan University.
He enjoyed working for many Local Credit Unions as a Loan Officer, and in 1974 his career would introduce him to his beloved wife of 37 years, Joan, who he married in 1985.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Joan Godfrey; Stepson Greg Olsson (Lisa Robinson); Stepdaughter Laura Olsson; Grandson Aaron Godfrey; Several Step Grandchildren; and his much-loved cat’s, Zoey and Gibbs.
Ronald was preceded in death by his son’s Glen Godfrey and Ronald Godfrey Jr., his father Walter C. Godfrey, and his mother Catherine Godfrey.
