Ruth was born January 9th, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan to Sam and Wanda Grnya. She grew up in Saginaw, attended Saginaw High School, and received a B.A. in Business from the University of Michigan.
In her early 20”s, she married B. Joe Langston and moved to Long Beach, California where she began her career as a legal secretary and lived for 25 years. Her husband, Joe, was a professor of radio and television at California State University, Long Beach until his passing in 1985. After the death of her husband, Ruth moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to be closer to family. She resumed her career as a legal secretary at Miller Canfield where she retired in 2000.
Ruth was admired for being an intelligent, independent woman. She was known for her down-to-earth nature, common sense and wisdom. She LOVED reading books of all genres, following current events and traveling to countries all over the world.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her parents, Sam and Wanda Grnya, her sister, Catherine Rondo, and a beloved nephew, Gregory Adams. She is survived by her sisters, Barbara (Thomas) Adams, Marge (Glen) Rutila and a very special niece, Carole Adams.
