

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angelita Mendoza Millan, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and a very loving grandmother. Angelita was called back to her heavenly home on April 4, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on June 22, 1944, in Makati, Philippines, she devoted her life to family, faith and kindness. Up until the end, Angelita maintained her love of family and friends, grace, compassion, appreciation of beauty, and expressed gratitude for her wonderful life, full of beautiful and memorable experiences.
In 1967, Angelita married the love of her life, Teodoro Millan, and together they raised two wonderful children, filling their home with love, faith, cultural heritage and intellectual curiosity.
Angelita, affectionately known as Lita, devoted over 40 years of her life as a dedicated educator and librarian. She was a passionate advocate for literacy and lifelong learning, inspiring young people and adults alike through her enthusiasm for books and knowledge. She also loved plants, flowers, travelling, participating in religious pilgrimages and visiting churches around the world.
A devout Catholic and a woman of unwavering faith, Angelita dedicated her life to serving others and spreading love. She found solace and strength in her faith and was a dedicated member of St. Mary’s Church and various religious organizations, where she volunteered in numerous capacities and actively participated in many spiritual activities. Her faith and dedication to serving others were the cornerstones of her life.
Angelita is survived by her husband Teodoro, sons, Dennis and Shane, daughter-in-law, Sheryl, grandchildren, Shane Jr. (Sanjo) and Shayden (Shayd), brother, Fernando, sisters, Corazon and Marissa, and many other loving family members and friends.
Angelita’s kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, many friends and all who knew her. May her soul rest in peace.
Lord, please grant us strength to face the days ahead, knowing that Angelita is now at peace. May your light shine upon us and guide our steps. Amen.
A visitation for Angelita will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, Maryland 21401. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at 9 AM in Saint John Neumann Church, 620 N Bestgate Rd, Annapolis, MD 21401. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery Crownsville, 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd, Crownsville, MD 21032.
