

Bertram "Bert" Seager Winchester Jr., a 2-year resident of Annapolis and formerly of Baltimore, died July 20 due to heart failure at Fairfield Nursing & Rehab Center in Crownsville.
Born June 13, 1930 in Baltimore, Mr. Winchester attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1951. He served as a 1st Lieutenant
in the Army Corp of Engineers and worked at Foxboro and Winchester Construction companies. Mr. Winchester was a member of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association and the ATO Investment Club. He enjoyed lacrosse, travel, theatre, symphony and opera.
Mr. Winchester was preceded in death by his son, John Frederick Winchester
He is survived by his wife Helen A. Winchester, whom he married August 25, 1951; son, Bertram S. Winchester III and wife Deborah of Sherwood Forest; brother, Eugene M. Winchester of Texas; and two grandchildren, Claire B. and Ellen L. Winchester.
Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 24 at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, Duke of 147 Gloucester St., Annapolis. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, July 25, at St. Paul's Anglican Church, 1505 Crownsville Rd., Crownsville. Interment Druid Ridge Cemetery in Baltimore.
