Mrs. Bobbie Jean Poindexter, daughter of the late Roosevelt Fairrer and Della (Malone) Fairrer of Athens Alabama, was born on May 13, 1936, and on October 13, 2019, succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease. She attended Trinity High School in Athens Alabama, graduating in 1954 before moving to Indianapolis Indiana in 1955. In Indianapolis, she most notably worked at the U.S. Postal Office as a clerk and letter carrier for over 20 years. She was a member of, and attended several churches while in Indianapolis. She was uncompromising in her devotion to her family and always put others first. Ms. Bobbie continued her unwavering spirit and faith in God even through the progression of her disease.
