John 11:25-26 Charles "Chuck" Comer, 69, of Annapolis, passed away suddenly on Friday February 27, 2015 at 1:45 pm while in long term care in Glen Burnie. Prior, Chuck suffered an acute stroke on February 14, 2014 and remained hospitalized thereafter. Chuck lived a full life. Chuck was born on January 6, 1946 to Ada Fay Owens/Jones. Chuck played several high school sports at Annapolis High School (Class of 1964). Chuck served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1973 during the Vietnam War, only to be honorably discharged to care for his ailing stepfather George Jones, who suffered a massive heart attack while Chuck was in service. Chuck worked in several professions including sales, construction, and real estate. Chuck displayed an outgoing and boisterous personality even until his passing. Chuck was a generous and supportive father and grandfather. Chuck attended numerous marching band competitions, concerts, piano recitals, and soccer games in support of his children. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Fay and George, and his older sister Betty. Chuck is survived by his daughter Alexis Comer of Annapolis, her two children Charlotte and Dominic; his son Robert Comer Steward of Lorton, Virginia; and family friends Jack and Pat Hagerty of Glen Burnie. Funeral services will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral Home 147 Duke of Gloucester St Annapolis, MD 21401 (10:30 visitation, 11:30 service), followed by a burial at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032 (1 pm).
