Dave was  a great guy to work with and to learn from.  I always enjoyed his no-nonsense point of view and his undisguised Boston accent.  He was always ready to trade barbs about his beloved Pats and Sox and my New York roots.  I will miss him very much.  Warm thoughts and deepest condolences to his family on his untimely passing.  A shock to us all.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I worked with Dave  many years in the GOES Program and last time I saw him was sometime before the we left on March 2020.  He was always gracious and respectful and we will miss him.  
I hope you find solace in the love and dedication he had for his family.

I will always remember hanging out during our visits to the Kennedy Space Center and Boeing in California for the GOES missions.   We had a blast.  I will miss that laugh for sure.

On April 15th we lost a valued member of our Safety “family.”  Dave was a straight-talker and he wasn’t somebody who could be pushed around.  His unwavering commitment to the Safety & Mission Assurance cause serves as a lasting example for all of us.  A terrific person with a big heart, and a personality that seemed larger than life. Dave was a great guy and a talented safety engineer. He understood the requirements and enforced the rules. Meetings always led to spirited discussions with Dave in attendance. He will be missed dearly. In sympathy.

Dave was a great person to work with on a flight project. He was very 'no nonsense', but he would always try to find a work-around for a project design or management team that were having problems understanding safety requirements.

I will really miss him as a team mate.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dave's family.  He kept us safe and the Laser Communication Relay Demonstration Payload safe.  Through his hard work and vigilance, the mission continues safely to launch this summer.  He is greatly missed but we know he is still looking out for us.   -Glenn Jackson

Dave was one of those classy people who personified New England tough-- he loved the Sox, the Patriots and had a heart of gold. Rest in Peace Dave-- you will be sorely missed by your GOES family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dave's family and friends. He was such a kind hearted guy and I will miss his visits to my office. He always made a point to come check on me after my car accident to see how I was doing. I will also miss our conversations on the Pats and the Ravens. May you rest in peace.

Dave (Boston Dave as I referred to him) was a big guy with a big voice and big heart.  He loved the Pats and the Sox, and I always welcomed him to stop pass my office and talk sports. David will be remembered as a "tell it like it is" person who was vital to NASA's Safety Program and ALL the projects/missions he helped ensure were successful and that everything was done Safely.

Dear Kathy and Laura,
We want to let you know how heartbroken we are over David's passing.  He was a strong, quiet and loving man.  Loved his little Xmas chat fests to keep us up to date with all.  Wish we could be there for the service to hug you and say goodbye to Dave.  I know he is pain free and dancing in heaven with the family that are there to greet him.  Life here will go on and I wish you much peace for the future and may you always feel his loving presence around you.

I've tried to add a picture,  and I hope it displays.  It's always been my favorite picture of Dave. He was a big,  strong, tough man who didn't mind in the least wearing a crown or riding the merry-go-round for his little girl.  Family always came first for him.
