He is survived by the love of his life Joan Hogan, one sister, three daughters (his only children), eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
His family and friends knew him first as Donny, then Don, O’B, Opie (grandpa), and Bredstck the Clown. He had a successful and long career serving his country in the U.S. Navy’s Naval Security Group Command. Donald was a Christian Irishman who loved life. He especially loved fishing, hunting, and boating. He was a generous person who always had a smile, and was known for his random acts of kindness. He volunteered in the community through many organization, and was a lifetime member of many clubs.
There was a private viewing for the family in Annapolis, MD. The family plans to have a full military service for him in Alliance, Nebraska in the near future.
