George was born in Arlington, Virginia on July 4, 1941 to Martin Costello and Annie Kitts. He attended Annapolis High School. He entered the U.S. Army in December 1958 and served until April 1962. He was an auto mechanic by trade.
George is survived by his wife, Pamela and daughter, Melinda Costello, both of Annapolis. One sister Joan Costello, of Chester. He is preceded in death by one brother Martin Costello and three sisters, Annie "Sissie" Turner, Helen Costello and Keithann LaClair.
He enjoyed working on cars, mowing the lawn, going to the casinos, watching John Wayne movies and rooting for the New York Yankees and Baltimore Ravens.
