She was born at Sibley Hospital in Washington, D.C. Shirley was known for making the best chocolate chip cookies and for making everyone feel welcome who would visit her.
She leaves behind her daughter, Rachael Hardy Booker of Pasadena, MD; sons: Michael (Betty) Hardy of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and Kenn (Rachelle) Hardy of Stephens City, Virginia. She had 8 grandchildren: Tyler, Jordan, Devin, McKenna, Hailey, Chandler, Jessica and Zoey.
A Memorial Service will be held on April 14, 2018 at 1:30pm at the St. Johns Evangelist Church, 9700 Rosensteel Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Burial to follow.
