Thomas William Clements Jr., of Annapolis, Maryland, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, surrounded by his four children. Though Alzheimer’s is a disease that can slowly take so much, Tom held fast to what mattered most—his smile, his sense of humor, and his unwavering love for his children and grandchildren—right through the end.
Born in New York, Tom eventually made Annapolis his lifelong home, where he built not only two successful businesses, but also a life rooted in family. Tom was a devoted father and no matter the sport, activity, meet, or game, he was always there—cheering loudly from the stands and greeting his kids with hugs regardless of the scoreboard. His children were the light of his life, and he made sure they always knew it.
Yes, his kids were very important to him, but it would be a disservice to not talk about his second favorite thing in life: golf. The Naval Academy Golf Course was his second home where he spent countless hours practicing his craft, making lasting friendships, and teaching all four kids the game. It was unreal witnessing him talk about a specific hit on a particular hole on a certain course decades prior. Golf was more than a pastime for Tom; it was a joy he truly lived.
Tom is survived by his four children, Matthew (Sara), Lindsey, Amanda (Michael), and Alex; and three adored granddaughters, Malia, Everlee, and Evyn Jo (Jojo). He is also survived by two nephews, Chris and Nick, who held a very special place in his heart.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester St, Annapolis, MD, 21401 on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. All are welcome.
