Bill was born in Shelby, North Carolina on July 30, 1941 to the late William Howard Brown, Sr and Emma Virginia Brown Brown.
He graduated from JH Rose High School in Greenville, North Carolina in 1959. He was a 1962 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Mathematics. He later received his MBA from George Washington University.
As a child his family would make summer trips from North Carolina to Maryland to visit family. Bill moved to Maryland after graduating from college where he met and married Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Welch Brown. She died on February 7, 1998.
Bill owned a local business, Subterranean Construction, and did some book keeping through his final days.
Bill is survived by his son, William H. Brown, III (Karen) and daughter, Susanne B. Talbott (Frank) as well as his two grandchildren, Ryan D. Brown (Jillian) and Emma E Talbott. His brother, Thomas E. Brown (Judy) resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Bill is also survived by his long time friend, Jayne R. Craig, of Stephen’s City, Virginia.
In addition to his parents and late wife, Bill was pre deceased by his sister, Nancy Brown Wynne and his brother, Lester Zeno Brown.
Burial will be private. Arrangements are being made by Taylor Funeral Home in Annapolis, MD
