Aurther Leon Smith

Aurther Leon Smith age 88 of Saks, AL passed away peacefully at Home Friday April 10th surrounded by his family. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday April 13th at Gray-Brown Funeral Home in Anniston with Rev. Johnny Roberson and Rev. Daniel Hughes officiating. Graveside will be at Anniston Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be prior to service from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.

Leon was so loved by everyone who knew him. He loved his family, his church family and many many friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family, loved fishing, woodworking, gardening and most of all he loved the Lord.

Leon is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Lillian Smith. Also 9 siblings (brothers and sisters).

Leon is survived by his loving wife of 66 ½ years Margie Hughes Smith. Daughter, Vickie (Steve) Norman; Son, Perry (Julie) Smith.

Grandsons, Dylan Smith, Jonathan Norman, Evan Bates, and Adam Bates. Granddaughter, Jessica Bates.

Great Grandchildren- Lucas Wilson, Walker Bates, Wesley Bates, Morgan Bates, and Sophia Bates.

Special Grand-dog- “Ellie-Mae”

Leon is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Poore, Chris Hallman, Chris Pointer, Kevin Pointer, Micah Stewart, Dalton Hughes and Josh Hughes.
