Betty is survived by her daughters Donna Bedford and Dana Pass (Robert); her sons Guy Dwain Spivey and Glenn Spivey (Lisa); her sister Joan Wilson (Roy); her grandchildren Jeremy Sizemore, Dallas Bedford, Travis Pinson, Alex Spivey (Jane), Bud Savage, Kamela Spivey, Victoria Spivey, Rachel Pinson, Angie Campbell, Lora Savage, numerous great grandchildren, Numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Harold M. Spivey Jr.; her parents Guy and Vennie Mobley; her sisters Linda Gilmore; Carol Worley; her brothers William Mobley and Stanley Mobley.
Funeral services for Betty will be Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Mike Brinkman officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Betty Mobley married Johnny Montgomery in 1946. They had one child and resided in Anniston, Alabama until Johnny’s death in 1951. She married her husband of 67 years, Harold Spivey, Jr. in 1953, and together they raised four children. She lived in Weaver, Alabama for over 70 years.
Betty was a longtime active member of Weaver United Methodist Church of Weaver, Alabama. She worked for a local law firm for decades until her retirement. Betty was blessed with many good friends, and likewise, she was a good friend to many people. She enjoyed traveling and often went on trips with friend groups. She was an avid Auburn fan.
