Carry G. Parris

The Reverend Carry G. Parris, 91, lifetime resident of Jacksonville, AL, passed away at Gadsden RMC on August 17th, 2020. He is preceded in death byhis wife of 58 years, Annie Lowman Parris. He is survived by his three children, Patricia Brown (Lafayette), Carey Randall Parris, and Sandra Myers, all of Jacksonville; eight grandchildren, Jerred Brown (Keely), Ben Myers, Drew Myers (Greg), Megan Parris(Jay), Landon Parris, Keeli Parris, Kyndall Parris, Kynzley Parris, including his wife, Jeannie Parris.

Funeral services for Mr. Parris will be 3:00 p.m., August 19th, 2020, at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Bro. Jerred Brown officiating. Burial willfollow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will welcome friends one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Drew Myers, Greg Collins, Lafayette Brown, James Brown, Woody Lowman and Jamie Hardey.

Carry G. loved playing the Mandolin and singing with his family (The Parris Family). He never met a stranger and loved talking with his many friends. Carry G.was a humble man with a sense of humor endearing him to everyone. He was an inspiration to many. His other passions were farming, enjoying time with his family, and loving his grandchildren. He was a hardworking man with a heartwarming smile.
