

Funeral service for Charles Hindman, 76, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Gray Brown-Service Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Stewart and Steve Dunaway officiating. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Hindman passed away Wednesday morning at his residence.
Survivors include his daughter, Debbie Bundrum (Jeff); sons, Greg Hindman (Jane) and Bruce Hindman (Jean); grandchildren, Christal Hayes (Jerry), LaDonna Hindman, Shannon Bundrum and Bill Hindman; great-grandchildren, Braden Carpenetti, Joey Lindsey, Summer Hayes, Jerry Hayes, Jacob Cofield and Melody Hayes; sisters, Lois Smith (Tom), Martha Pool (Harold), Rita Sauvageau and Sue Stewart; brother-in-law, Thomas Cook and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hindman is preceded in death by his wife, Dallice Mitchell Hindman; parents, John Samuel Hindman and Maudie Belle Martin Hindman; sister, Brenda Hindman Cook and brothers-in-law, Bill Stewart and Al Sauvageau.
Mr. Hindman was a lifelong resident of Ohatchee. He retired from Goodyear after more than 30 years of service. His hobbies included woodworking, farming and he loved spending time outdoors. He had a great appreciation for antique cars and tractors. Mr. Hindman was a devoted husband and father, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, to Lacy and all the staff at Amedisys hospice and to all the friends and family for their prayers, love and support.
