Mrs. Newman was retired from Blue Mountain Industries. She was the last surviving charter member of Fairview Heights Northside Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years. Mrs. Newman will be remembered as a strong, humble, and gentle soul. She was best known for her fried apple pies, pecan pies, and homemade biscuits. While her family and friends will miss her greatly, she is rejoicing in the presence of Jesus. The family would like to give a sincere thanks to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice, especially Alexis, Ragan, and Katerine. We are accepting flowers at the funeral home or donations can be made to Fairview Heights Northside Baptists Church.
