Deborah Ann Wheeler

Funeral Services for Mrs. Deborah Ann Wheeler, 47, of Oxford, will be Wednesday, September 29th, 2021, 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Oxford, AL. The family would like to welcome friends on Tuesday evening, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Wheeler passed away on September 24th, 2021.

She is survived by her love of 12 years, Richard Sanders; sons, Pearson Wheeler and his wife Cheyenne, Brandon Sanders and his wife Mary Kathryn; daughters, Shila Trowse and her husband Mikey, Tesla Strickland and her husband Austin, Britlee Nelson, Angela Sanders, DeNae Sanders; sister, Kimberly “Kim” Hurst and her husband Bryan; brother, Dewey Nelson and his wife Hannah; grandchildren, Dale Wheeler, Cole Wheeler, Sawyer Trowse, Becca Winn, William Sanders; nieces and nephews, Darla Wegner, Heather Hurst, Haley Carmack, Timothy Nelson, John Nelson, Sophia Wegner, Karlisha Thomas, including a host of cousins.

Mrs. Wheeler is preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Wheeler; parents, Dewey “Jr.” and Annie Nelson; sister, Amanda Nelson.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Kupiec, Austin Strickland, Mikey Trowse, Brandon Sanders, Landon Key, Bailey Hyatt, and Timothy Wegner.

Deborah had such a beautiful soul. Always loved and cared for people that was a part of her life. She was always putting others before her and was loved by so many. If you had the privilege of meeting her, you were considered family in her eyes. She always displayed such graceful strength and independence. She had a strong love for her fur babies, family and Alabama Football. ROLL TIDE!!!!
