Donna Gayle Toon Scruggs was born on December 14, 1953, in Melbourne, Florida, but grew up in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She passed away peacefully at her home in Glencoe, Alabama, on July 20, 2025.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister, and three brothers. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: daughter Sherrie Bryant (Joel), son Wayne Coonts (April), grandchildren Emily (Josh), Anna (Brody), Haden, and Joshua, as well as her beloved great-grandchild, Bryant.
A free spirit who had a unique ability to make anyone smile, Donna’s infectious joy and kindness touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in her life.
