Funeral service for Dorothy S. Morris “Dot”, 87 of Saks, will be Monday, August 30, 2021, 12 noon at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service. Pastor Ray Morris will be officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Dorothy S. Morris “Dot” was born November 24, 1933 in Woodland Alabama and left her heavenly body on August 26, 2021 to enter into the Joys of Heaven.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her son, Greg Morris (Benita); daughters, Susan Howell (Andy), Paula Haney; grandchildren, Brittny McVey (Jerry), Brooke Nelson, Krystal DeVencint (Tristen), Justin Morris (Lisa); great-grandchildren, Corban McVey, Jaylon Kirksey, Kynlee McClellan, Paisley Morris and very special friends – Edna and Harold King.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Morris; son, Kenny Morris and grandson Tyler.
Pallbearers are Wendell Shelton, Wade Willingham, Andy Howell, Jerry McVey, Billy Morris and Donnie Price.
Dot loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything. She loved to go to thrift stores and yard sales and all her Saturday adventures. She loved to sit on the porch and rock and sing her favorite song “Sing and be Happy”. She also loved collecting Humming Birds.
