Edith Cain Payne

Edith Ellen Cain Payne, 85, of Weaver, went home to be with her Lord on August 24, 2013. She is survived by her children, Pamela Payne & husband Donald Bryant of Weaver and Gigi Payne & husband Bob Fargason of Anniston; three granddaughters, Amy Bryant Usry (Leo) of Weaver, Kimberly Bryant Campbell (Brad) of Weaver, and Kristen Faith Fargason of Anniston; four great grandchildren, Leo Marvin Usry III, Austin Taylor Bryant, Anthony John Usry, and Savannah Elizabeth Campbell; a brother, E. Doss Cain (Billie Jean) of Georgia; a sister Dorothy Cain Hightower of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 28, 11:30 a.m. at Forestlawn Gardens with Rev. Ron Sweatt officiating. Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Payne is preceded in death by her husband, George Webb Payne; her parents, William P. and Lillie Doss Cain; two sisters, Velma Cain Vaughn and Helen Cain; and two brothers, Robert and Earl Cain.

Pallbearers will by family and friends.

Mrs. Payne was lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Anniston. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weaver. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, she will be deeply missed.
