Mrs. Gibbs was an Anniston resident for most of her life. She was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. As a devoted homemaker, she was a talented cook and seamstress. Later in life, she enjoyed her time as an employee at Couch’s Jewelers.
Erlene, most lovingly called Nannie, was a huge family influence. She devoted her life to caring for and protecting her family. Her gentle touch, sweet spirit, and listening ear were characteristics for which she will be remembered. She lived for family reunions and time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her strong will and quiet strength were elegantly fierce. She adored Alvin and the times they spent together on their farm. She was a lady of true inspiration who will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved her.
