

Jacksonville - Funeral services for Mr. Gary Eugene “Papa” Ledbetter, 62 of Jacksonville will be Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church in Oxford, Al with Bro. Mitch Shelton officiating with burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Ledbetter passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
Mr. Ledbetter is survived by his wife, Deborah Ledbetter; daughters, Tracy (Dax) Hanvey, and Shelley (Chris) Lindsey; sons, Shane (Carol) Ledbetter, and Corey Ledbetter; Papa’s babies, April Ledbetter, Carson Lindsey, Khloe Hanvey, Callie Ledbetter, Andrew Ledbetter, Camden Lindsey, Noah Ledbetter, and Sloan (Beanie) Lindsey; sisters, Gloria Keel, Carolyn (Benney) Mitchell, Susan (Alan) Wall; brother, Rickey (Toni) Ledbetter.
Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his father, Truby L. Ledbetter; mother, Doris Lorene Mullinax.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. Ledbetter was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County and Marshall County. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1970 to 1973. He graduated from JSU in 1978, worked at the Anniston Army Depot, Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville with 38 years combined years of service with the government. He served as a Chaplin with Regional Medical Center, Golden Living Nursing home and Calhoun County Jail Ministry.
Papa was a patriarch, loving husband, father, Papa, and friend to all who know him.
