Alexandria - Funeral services for Mrs. Gwendolyn M. Daugherty, 96 of Alexandria will be Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Eulaton United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Webster officiating with burial following at adjoining church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12pm till service time at the church Saturday.
Mrs. Daugherty passed away April 17, 2013 in Alexandria.
Mrs. Daugherty is survived by beloved caregiver, Iris Mathis; her step daughter, Joyce W. Black and husband Hugh; nephew, Christopher L. Murphree; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family and friends
Mrs. Daugherty was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County.
Mrs. Daugherty was preceded in death by her first husband, Horace Walker; second husband, Lawrence W. Daugherty; brother, E.R. Murphree; and nieces, Mary Jo Waits and Sarah Lybrand.
