Ivy is survived by her son Keith Dear; her sister Mary Rogers; her grandchildren, Russell Dear,Stuart Dear (Nicole), and Fallon Batchelor; her great grandchildren, Alyx Dear, Charlotte Dear, Joseph Dear, and Naomi Dear.
Ivy was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Dear; her daughter Cecilia Dear; her parents Boncil and Betty Hutto; as well as four brothers and two sisters.
A public visitation for Ivy will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary 1329 Wilmer Avenue Anniston Alabama, 36201 with Bro. Milton Harris officiating.
Born in 1926, Ivy lived a long and fulfilling life marked by the unwavering commitment to her loved ones. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took immense pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her love and guidance inspired countless memories and shaped the lives of those around her. Ivy's professional life was equally impressive. As a former business owner along side her husband in the grocery industry, she demonstrated her entrepreneurial sprit and work ethic. Later in life, she selflessly devoted herself to being a caregiver, supporting individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia. Her compassion, empathy, and kindness touched the lives of countless families and patients. Ivy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide her loved ones and her legacy of love and kindness will live on forever.
