

Eastaboga - Funeral services for Mr. James “Ron” Ronald King, 68, of Eastaboga will be Friday, April 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. C.O. Grinstead and Matthew Birchfield officiating and burial following at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-3 p.m. on Friday prior to the service.
Mr. King passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014.
Mr. King is survived by his wife, Peggy Joan “PJ” King; daughters, Angela King(Chris) Benefield, Alicia D. King, Kelly (Don) Birchfield, Lynn Faulkner; mother, Frances Baswell Waldrop; sisters, Kathy (Jimmy) Elrod, Sherry (Mike) Logan, and Judy Brackett; grandchildren, Seth (Jordan) Benefield, Shellby Benefield, Mary Benefield, Dakota Minyard, Blaine (Brisa) Minyard, Matthew Birchfield, Jacob Birchfield, Ami Birchfield, Courtney (Joshua) Austin, Jordyn (Nathan) Donaldson, and Brittney (Jake) Miller; great-grandchildren, Avery Benefield, Jaden Free, Nathaniel Austin, Jeremiah Austin, Raelynn Donaldson, Levi Minyard, and Tristan Minyard; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. King is preceded in death by his father, James King.
Pallbearers will be Seth Benefield, Matthew Birchfield, Jacob Birchfield, Jake Miller, Nathan Donaldson, Chris Benefield, Don Birchfield, Joshua Austin, and Dakota Minyard; honorary pallbearers will be, Blaine Minyard, and Wal-Mart Transportation.
Mr. King was a native of Gadsden and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. King graduated from Emma Samson High School where he played in the band. He was also a member of the Wal-Mart One Million Transportation Safe Miles.
