

Funeral services for James M. Turner, Jr., 89, of Anniston, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. James Abernathy and Rev. Lamar Holley officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens.
Mr. Turner died Saturday morning at his residence.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Lillie Sparks Turner; daughter, Lila Gearhart (Edward); grandchildren, Mendy McMichael (Charlie) and Kristi Burgess (Garrett); great-grandchildren, Landry, Brock, Logan, Carson and Easton Wright, Drennen and Keaten Beam and Haley McMichael; sisters, Nancy Grant and Gay Murphy (Ray) and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Turner is preceded in death by his parents, James M. Turner, Sr. and Nancy Bell Turner; brothers, James Daniel Turner, J.T. Turner and Clifford Turner; and sister, Frances Holley.
Pallbearers will be Cliff, Landry, Brock and Logan Wright and Ryan and Drennen Beam.
Mr. Turner was a member of West Anniston Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.
The family would like to thank Dr. Charlie Lattuada and Alacare Hospice for their caring service.
