Anniston – Funeral services for Mr. James R. Whitman Jr., 50 of Anniston will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Snow officiating. Burial Will Follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 p.m. till service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitman passed away November 19, 2013 at RMC in Anniston.
Mr. Whitman is survived by his wife, Marie Whitman; daughter, Kayla Stephens; son, Ronald E. Hughes; mother, Nancy Whitman; father, James Whitman and step-mother, Margart Whitman, and nieces Amy Farr and Nicki Swindle.
Pallbearers will be Danny Craft, Glenn Geier, Scott Watson, Aaron Taylor, Steve Ramey and Chuck Pearl.
Mr. Whitman was native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County where he was employed by Anniston Army Depot, Mr. Whitman had also served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Whitman was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Hill.
James was loved by his family and all that knew him or came into contact with him and will be greatly missed
