Funeral service for Jerry L. Brooks, of Anniston, will be 1:00 PM, Friday, January 3, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Rev. Randy Hagan and Rev. Jim Kelley officiating. Music will be provided by Alex Brooks. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Brooks died Monday evening at UAB.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Brooks; son, Jason Brooks (Amanda); grandchildren, Patti Brooks, Ashley Tucker, Justin Jones; Mother, Mary Lee Brooks; brother, Roger Brooks (Dianne), sister, Judy Williams (Alan) and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Brooks is preceded in death by his father, Baron Brooks.
Mr. Brooks was a lifelong residence of Anniston and graduated from Wellborn High School. He was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church and was a manager of Jacks for over 30 years.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to West Park Heights Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
