Funeral service for Jessie Lusk, 89, of Alexandria, will be 11:00 am, Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Gray Brown-Service with Rev. Randy Postell and Rev. Scott Brown officiating. A private burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Lusk died Tuesday morning at the Village in Cook Springs.
Survivors include daughter, Vicky Brown and husband Randy; son, Keith Lusk and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Scott Brown and wife Genie, Brian Lusk and wife Deidre, Ryan Brown and wife Jennifer, and Gina Haggerty and husband David; great grandchildren, Anna Kate Brown, Maggie Haggerty, Nathan Brown, Colin Lusk, Ella Haggerty and Fiona Lusk.
Mr. Lusk is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Frances Page Lusk, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Lusk, brothers, Ray Lusk and Harry Lusk.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Uneedus Class of First Baptist Church of Saks.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Lusk spent 40 years in the grocery business with A&P Tea Company. Following his employment, he found a great love and much success in gardening. Mr. Lusk was an active member of First Baptist Church of Saks prior to his residence at Autumn Cove Retirement Center and Village of Cook Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Saks Building Fund, 4723 Saks Road, Anniston, Alabama 36206.
