John Macon M. Baker

Weaver - Funeral services for Mr. Macon Baker, 64 of Weaver will be Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Joey Ray officiating with burial following at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, March 1, 2013 at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.

Mr. Baker passed away February 28, 2013 at Noland Hospital in Anniston.

Mr. Baker is survived by his wife, Debbie Baker; sons, Charlie and Drew Pierce, and Johnny Dewayne Baker; mother, Flora Smith; step-father, Donald Smith; sisters, Ann (Billy) Rozell, Johnnie Lee (Joe) Ledford, Sally Willis, and Donna Jo Fower; brothers, Ronald Baker and Michael Smith; grandchildren, Austin, Jada, Jenna, and Jaymie Pierce; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh Cofield, Tommy Cathy, Joe Barnes, Joey Bishop, Jeremy Buchann, and Kenny Boyce.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his father, John L. Baker; daughter, Christy L. Baker; sister, Pat Moon; brother, Donald Baker; grandmother, Myra Wynn.

Mr. Baker was a native of Ohatchee and a resident of Weaver for eleven years. Mr. Baker retired from FMC/BAE where he was employed for over thirty years.
