Ohatchee– Funeral services for Mr. John W. “Jack” Bunt 96, of Ohatchee, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Rev. Ellis McDill officiating with burial to follow at Union United Methodist Cemetery in Wellington. The family will receive friends this evening night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Bunt passed Monday, February 4, 2013 at Gadsden RMC.
Mr. Bunt is survived by his daughter, Wilmer Cruise; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Murray, Steve Brown, Dennis Simpson, Phillip Johnson , Eldridge Johnson, and Allen Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Cruise, Justin Frost, and Stephen Frost.
Mr. Bunt was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County; he served in WWII, was of the Baptist faith and retired from Lee Brass after 25 years.
Mr. Bunt was preceded in death by his wife, Anner Mae Bunt; daughter, Sara Lee Murray and 1 grandson.
